HOOPS I.M. (Intermediate Mode) extends HOOPS users' control byintegrating display list and immediate mode graphics techniques. I.M.lets users define and represent their own graphical objects and renderingmethods. User-defined primitives can be stored in the HOOPS database ordirectly rendered using portable HOOPS drawing routines. I.M. enhancesusers' design flexibility and allows for rapid display of large datasetsor time-varying data.Applications built with I.M. are 100 percent source-code-compatibleacross platforms, take advantage of advanced graphics hardware, andsupport multiple hardcopy devices. I.M. is completely compatible with allversions of HOOPS.
